Terms and Conditions

 

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and stays at Beach Street Self-Catering (the “Property”) managed by Bookeasy South Africa (Pty) Ltd.  By making a booking, whether directly through Bookeasy South Africa or by any other means, you (the “Guest”) agree to be bound by these terms. The Property is privately owned and managed. These terms form a legally binding agreement between the Guest and the Property owner/manager.

2. Booking and Confirmation

  • Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and a confirmation email from the owner/manager.
  • The booking is for the exclusive use of the Property by the named Guest and their party (maximum occupancy: 4 guests).
  • Subletting, assigning, or transferring the booking is strictly prohibited.
  • All guests must provide accurate personal information at the time of booking.

3. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking.
  • The balance is due 7 days before check-in.
  • Payments are accepted via EFT / Credit Card.
  • All rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

4. Cancellation Policy

Full refund if cancelled more than 30 days before check-in.
50% refund if cancelled up to 7 days before check-in.
No refunds within 7 days of check-in.

5. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: From 15:00 (3 PM)  to 18:00 (6 PM) on the arrival date.
  • Check-out: By  10:00 (10 AM) on the departure date.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request and subject to availability (additional fees may apply).
  • The Property will be prepared to a high standard before your arrival.
  • A security/damage deposit will not be charged.

6. House Rules

  • The Property is non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
  • No parties, events, or excessive noise that may disturb neighbours. Quiet hours apply from 22:00 to 08:00.
  • Pets are permitted on request.
  • Guests are responsible for the behaviour of their entire party.
  • The kitchen, appliances, and all amenities must be left in a clean and tidy condition. A reasonable end-of-stay cleaning fee is included; excessive cleaning may incur additional charges.
  • No furniture or items may be moved without prior permission.
  • Guests are liable for any damage, loss, or excessive wear caused during their stay.

7. Liability and Responsibility

  • The owner/manager is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property during your stay, except where caused by gross negligence.
  • Guests use the Property, facilities, and surrounding areas at their own risk.
  • The owner/manager is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
  • Guests must comply with all local laws and regulations.

8. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.). In such cases, the owner/manager will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative dates or a partial refund.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is handled in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws. It will only be used for the purposes of managing your booking and communication.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11. Amendments

The owner/manager reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. The version applicable to your booking is the one in effect at the time of confirmation.
